How can I repair this relationship?

My widower boyfriend and I, he's 54, I'm 36, have recently let it be known to his daughter, she's 25, that we are sleeping together. Her mother, his spouse died last January. We were all spending the night at my B. friend's and the daughter asked her dad, my B.friend for us to keep the door open. Well, he said it's about time she knew since we've been dating 3 monthes, and it's his house, so he shut the door, and that was that. He had told her a month ago that our relationship was going to get physical real soon. So, the next morning, she was snippy with him, they are VERY CLOSE, daddy's girl, and left. Then he said, oh well, if she doesn't understand what makes me happy, then so be it. The night before we had all been out doing heavy drinking and had a limo, with her friends in which her father paid for everything. She started a bunch of drama at one point and went and locked herself in the bathroom. Her friend told me it happens when they go out all the time, without her father and I. So, at some point I said she was a spoiled brat. I don't even remember saying that but take full responsibility. The friend told his daughter the next day, and she is livid, like the icing on the cake. Now he said it has caused a wedge between him and his daughter and her and I will never see eye to eye. I think a bigger part of the problem is him shutting the door the night before when she was not ready for that since she may have viewed that as him cheating on her mother, and she's just using this name I called her as a tool for him to get rid of me. He and I have major history together. He told me that until he fixes thing's with his daughter, that basically not to worry about him, and that he can't give me a time frame. Everything has been perfect up until now. What can I do. Should I just hang out and let time take it's course? That kid is a brat, no doubt. But i don't have to deal with her mostly, all I want is him. He is good for me . Trust me. But his family comes first, as it should be, except she's a little more controlling and could care less about his happiness. What do you guy's think.How can I repair this relationship?
I think she's a brat too. I'm betting she probably thinks you're going to take all his assets and leave her with nothing. She sees you as a threat. I'm not sure if things will ever be right until she places the happiness of her dad above her own.
